Moor Farm

Each year we take the children on an educational visit to Moor Farm in Newborough. This is an excellent opportunity for the children to see a working farm and meet a real life farmer - Judith. The children are given a walk round the farm where they talk about where our food comes from and how crops are grown. There are also plenty of animals to see including sheep, lambs, cows, chickens and rabbits. Ben, the sheep dog, is very popular and, under supervision, the children get to walk him.

Most years the children are given a tractor ride and the opportunity to bottle feed the lambs, which every child is given the chance to do. In previous years they have also seen giant hay bales and on one occasion they saw a lamb being born - no one year is exactly the same!
